The Vision
HOW do we ensure the work we do in our daily lives doesn't just put a roof over our heads and food on the table? How can I use my skills to make the world a better place? Answering this question is the idea behind the community interest company Dimsky CIC. Community Interest Companies, social enterprises that run as a business with one unique and outstanding feature: they do not pay profits to shareholders or have a wealthy individual earning a large sum from overcharging customers and under paying staff. A CIC offers a well-run business based on customer relationships. Profits made must be used for a common good – a donation to a charity, for example, or a prescribed benefit to a community. CICs also contribute through time banks, volunteering, community organisations support and outreach services. Dimsky CIC is family run and an independent community interest company. Our mission is simple, that is to provide a professional service at an affordable cost on a not-for-profit model.
Using us as your service provider
The community becomes stronger if we all do our bit, every little helps. By using us as a service provider, you could be helping the community you live in or a charity that is close to your heart. Our "unique selling point" is very simple. If there is any products or services you require and use us to acquire them, we make profits as a consequence. If there is any products or services you require and we do not list them, we will make it our business to get you what you want, but again, we will make profits as a consequence. Any profits we make, we donate to charity, so by using us, you will either be supporting the local community, or even better, we give you the option of nominating which charity receives the profits we make.
Making a donation
Our customer base stretches far and wide throughout London and the surrounding areas. We often make donations to those who need it most, wether that is actual money we donate or our time and expertise, if we can help, we will. If you have a specific donation you would like to donate and we cannot accept it ourselfs, we will find the perfect recipient who can. That may be by volunteering, or it could be the repair of a brick wall for someone who cannot afford to have the wall fixed, what ever it is we will accommodate. We can make such a difference in so many area's if we all do our bit, by sparing just one moment or two here and there.
